Autumnal Maple Latte Recipe

Keep it simple with our Autumnal Maple Latte recipe for your cozy mornings or evenings!

What could be better than kicking back with a smooth and soothing cup of coffee when its getting cold… Well, we think adding a little sweetness and spice to the mix can!

It couldn’t be easier to make your own at home, or for your customers with our latest recipe and all you need is a few simple ingredients, most of which you can get direct from us.

Firstly, you can use a cafetière or if you have an espresso machine start by making a double shot of your favourite blend, for this recipe we recommend using our Pure blend.

While that’s on the brew you’ll need to get your milk foam(ed) and ready to go. The best way to do that if you don’t have a milk foamer is with our home milk froth trick here

Lastly for this recipe you’ll need to have Maple Syrup and a pinch of spices which you can add to taste outlined below our method. 

Ingredients
• 8 fluid ounces (220ml) of Pure blend Kokebi Coffee
• 1/4 cup milk
• 1-2 tablespoons of Maple Syrup dependent on how sweet you like it.
• A little pinch of ground cloves.
• A small pinch of Allspice.
• Sprinkle of fresh nutmeg

Instructions
1. Add Maple Syrup and spices to the bottom of a mug and stir.
2. Froth your milk using our home frothing method, or milk frother.
3. Pour your hot, Pure Kokebi Coffee over the Maple Syrup and spices.
4. Top up with milk if you are using espresso shots and/or pour on your freshly foamed milk. 
5. Garnish with more spices (we recommend nutmeg) and enjoy!

Beans stay fresher for longer, and so your coffee should taste better, too. As soon as green coffee beans are roasted, they start to release CO2, which affects the taste. They will oxidise and slowly start to go 'stale' and have a flat taste after a while. When coffee is ground, there is a higher surface area which is exposed to oxygen and that will cause them to lose their freshness faster, so it's best to keep coffee beans whole as close to brewing as possible. Treat your coffee beans similarly to potatoes: store them in a dark, dry place. It's best they are kept in a container or the bag they come in to stop oxygen and moisture getting in.
