Burger & Beer Night

It's finally that time of year again to get the BBQ out and spend quality time with family and friends... Which is why we are absolutely delighted to announce that we are doing just that for our first event of the year!

Our brand new Burger & Beer Night (with coffee also available of course), will be taking place on Thursday, May 27th outside our flagship store The Maltings Coffee House, which is situated in the picturesque village of Stanstead Abbotts, Hertfordshire.

Starting at 3:30pm - 9pm, we have geared up to make this no ordinary BBQ event... Collaborating with SOKA Food & The Rocking Horse Bar, they will be adding a decadent twist of gourmet food and drinks to the day.

SOKA Food are a Hertfordshire based catering business focussing on quality local ingredients for their range of food and events. Their emphasis on quality and variety is uncompromising, and this event will be no exception.

If you're familiar with our coffee house menu, chances are you have already been enjoying just some of their range of gourmet food. Our Burger & Beer Night will be without exception, as they will be serving a tasty selection of their signature 'Juicy Doubles', vegetarian options and kids meals to ensure the whole family is tailored for.

The Rocking Horse Mobile Bar which operates out of their beautiful, rustic mobile bar will be whisking a selection of drinks and beer direct to your table... or cosy hay bale seating for two.

We can't wait to host this exciting event, see you all and meet some of you for the first time too - Which is why it's so important to reserve your place, as seating is limited. Seating includes tables of six, or hay bales for two with slots available from: 3:30 - 5PM. / 5:30 - 7PM. / 7:30 - 9PM.

Tickets cost £12 per adult and £8 per children's ticket, which includes your choice of burger and drink.

To secure your place for the day you can book your ticket here, or below via the URL link or by phone.

Beans stay fresher for longer, and so your coffee should taste better, too. As soon as green coffee beans are roasted, they start to release CO2, which affects the taste. They will oxidise and slowly start to go 'stale' and have a flat taste after a while. When coffee is ground, there is a higher surface area which is exposed to oxygen and that will cause them to lose their freshness faster, so it's best to keep coffee beans whole as close to brewing as possible. Treat your coffee beans similarly to potatoes: store them in a dark, dry place. It's best they are kept in a container or the bag they come in to stop oxygen and moisture getting in.
