Introducing Kokebi Coffee Vanilla Latte Stout... Vanilla Froth!

Vanilla Froth
Last month we announced that we were collaborating with the brilliant Overtone Brewing Co on what's to become a Vanilla Latte Coffee Stout... Well, the time has come to officially make the announcement that 'Vanilla Froth' is about to hit the shelves from next week!

Vanilla Froth is a smooth and creamy stout brewed with bourbon Madagascan vanilla pods, lactose and our freshly ground Super Crema blend. Super Crema’s perfectly balanced combination of 50% Arabicas and 50% Robustas preside notes of roasted nut and dark cocoa, complimented by the sweetness of the vanilla and added lactose in this beautiful stout.

This decadent borderline Imperial Stout weighs in at a delightfully strong 9.0 ABV and is served up in 440ml cans, keeping this beer as fresh as the day it left the brewery. If you’re not familiar with beers at this strength, they are intended for sipping, are very dark, almost black, boasting rich, deep flavours ranging from sweet to tart.

What also adds the tart and bitter flavour profile to this beer are the added Magnum Hops, possessing subtle aromas of black pepper, nutmeg and a touch of citrus. Magnum is highly regarded for its ‘clean aroma’, and is thus a versatile hop used for its bittering properties.

Glasgow’s Overtone Brewing Co consistently produce the finest craft beer made with only the freshest natural ingredients and Vanilla Froth is no exception! Navigate over to their website, where you can pick up a freshly brewed Kokebi Coffee/Overtone Brewing Co’s Vanilla Froth for your evening of indulgence and luxury here. Cheers & Slàinte mhath!

Beans stay fresher for longer, and so your coffee should taste better, too. As soon as green coffee beans are roasted, they start to release CO2, which affects the taste. They will oxidise and slowly start to go 'stale' and have a flat taste after a while. When coffee is ground, there is a higher surface area which is exposed to oxygen and that will cause them to lose their freshness faster, so it's best to keep coffee beans whole as close to brewing as possible. Treat your coffee beans similarly to potatoes: store them in a dark, dry place. It's best they are kept in a container or the bag they come in to stop oxygen and moisture getting in.
